Inga Sempe

Inga Sempé is born in Paris and graduated in 1993 at the ENSCI. Later she took up a scholarship at the Villa Medici, Académie de France in Rome. Her work is known for a lightness of touch, for a strong personality and for a particularly tactile nature. The idea of everyday use is at the center of Sempé's approach, and she often seeks out materials with special properties to meet these requirements. In 2007, she was awarded the Red Dot Design Award. For HAY, Sempé created the Pinorama shelf, Ruban mirror, Fonte Candleholder, Matin lamps and the Pandarine sofa.
